What is the optimal viewing distance of LED screens?

For a quick reference and a little more accuracy, here’s a little chart that tells you minimum viewing distance, which is the closest you can be to the LED Panel and still make out a good image, and optimum viewing distance, which is the optimal distance to see the screen with a crisp, beautifully blended picture.

3mm Panels – min 1.5 m, minimum 3.5 to optimal 6 m
5mm Panels – min 2.5 m, minimum 4.5 to optimal 6 m
7mm Panels – min 3.5 m, minimum 6 to optimal 9 m
10mm Panels – min 4.5 m, minimum 9 to optimal 12 m
 

What is the viewing angle of the screens?

All of our LED screens have at least a wide 120° degree viewing angle. This means that the image still looks good and readable for 60° in each direction of the front of the screen left and right, where 90° would be completely sideways of the image. Some of our products have a very wide 140° viewing angle! This is all a fancy way of saying that LED screens in general have a very wide angle viewing ability, so as long as your crowd is in front of the screen, even on the sides, they’ll be able to see the image clearly. It’s one of the most suprisingly pleasant features of LED screens to first time LED clients.
